Kenny Thomas

Our Founder

Born July 25, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia. Kenny Thomas is son of Calvin and Patricia. Kenny Thomas attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque – one of the highest-profile recruits to ever attend the school.

Kenny’s determination and leadership has shown throughout his athletic career. As a Lobo, he earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors three times (1996, 1998-99), 2nd team All-America by Basketball Times following his junior season, two-time Most Valuable Player of the WAC Tournament (1996 and 98) and WAC Freshman of the Year in 1996.

The Houston Rockets selected Thomas as the 22nd pick in the 1999 NBA Draft. Kenny enjoyed a stellar career for the Rockets, 76ers, and Kings before retiring from basketball in 2010. After a successful NBA career, Mr. Thomas has transitioned from the basketball court to the boardroom.

Kenny Thomas is President and CEO of Kenny Thomas Enterprises, a dynamic and versatile multi faceted initiative. KTE is engaged in six primary business segments: Healthy Water, Fitness & Lifestyle Apparel, Basketball Education, Community Outreach, Film & Television Production and Real Estate.

Our Services
What We Do
The Kenny Thomas Basketball Academy and Athletic Facility will provide services that range from the basketball academy to a full service athletic facility. With full and half-court basketball courts available to aspiring athletes, it will be a state-of-the-art gym that will serve as a safe haven for children after school and as a community pendant for the top of the line accommodations. All sports will have a place at the Kenny Thomas Athletic Facility.
The Market
Who We Serve
The Kenny Thomas Athletic Facility will be a very welcomed addition to the New Mexico market. Kenny has always used his notoriety as a Hall of Fame from the University of New Mexico and his stellar reputation on the National Basketball Association to promote in this market. Considering the lack of upscale facilities in this market for this demographic, it is a must that the facility is constructed expeditiously. There are less than four facilities for children in this market outside of school and state funded facilities.
How We Do It
To begin the new operation of The Kenny Thomas Basketball Academy and Athletic, our requirements come to approximately 2.3 million dollars for build out and construction. Those numbers are rough in estimate and can be adjusted downward after our partnership opportunities have been explored. Skanska Construction International is the firm chosen as our building since Mr. Thomas is a bridge partner for the business.
